Individual Drum Course

- 6months programme (3months / 12 sessions beginner (S$200 per mth( 45min/ session), 3months / 12 sessions intermediate( S$240 per mth( 45min/session)

Course outline

Elementary (6 months, 24 sessions, 18 hours)

• Introduction to the drum set (4 sessions)
• Basic rhythm and fill ins (4 sessions)
• Basic theory and rudiments (4 sessions)
• Snare drum studies (6 sessions)
• Drum set studies (6 sessions)

Intermediate I (10 months, 40 sessions, 30 hours)

• Drum set studies (12 sessions)
• Application studies (10 sessions)
• Snare drum studies (6 sessions)
• Major music styles (10 sessions)
• Tuning and maintenance (2 sessions)

Intermediate II (10 months, 40 sessions, 30 hours)

• Application studies (24 sessions)
• Drum set studies (6 sessions)
• Snare drum studies (6 sessions)
• Creating a solo (4 sessions)

rum instruction programme 
- lessons will be conducted weekly or biweekly (flexible)
- lessons will be conducted in the Ark cafe (on real stage)
- students will be advised to purchase a pair of sticks, a manuscript book, a prac pad and a metronome before their first lesson
- students will get to play sets of the Ark's nightly gigs
- students will be grounded in basic theory, sightreading and interpretation skills
- students can book / rent the Ark's cafe's drums for practic
